The Grateful Dead's Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, Mookie Siegel of the David Nelson Band (and formerly a member of both Phil & Friends and Ratdog), Wendy Lanter of Hope in Time, and Jeff Mattson, Tom Circosta, Klyph Black and Dave Diamond, all of the The Zen Tricksters, now create music together as Donna Jean & the Tricksters
About Dave Diamond
Dave Diamonds career in music spans more than twenty years. A prolific singer/songwriter and session musician, Dave has recorded and performed as a solo artist, as well as with his own band, pozzyghuru, and with other artists including BlowUpHollywood, Shannon McNally, members of the Allman Brothers and The Meters, Dispatch, the Jason Crosby Band, Zen Tricksters and others (full listing @ davediamondmusic.com).
Dave in the fall of 1988 toured with Debbie Gibson(yup that's right,opening act Ed Ryan & the Underdogs for 4mos.) and had the pleasure of playing Radio City three nights. 1995-2006 saw Dave touring with the Zen Tricksters, Leo Nocentelli of The Meters, Shannon McNally, Rainbow Trout, Jason Crosby Band and Circus Mind etc. playing festivals and concert halls through out the U.S.
A drummer first, Dave is a creative and versatile musician, being equally at home on guitar, bass and keyboards. When not in the studio producing the work of new artists, you can find Dave playing multi-layered textures on drums/percussion with BlowUpHollywood and other indie singer/songwriters, as well as, playing free-form jazz/funk/experimental gigs with "pozzyghuru" and The Jason Crosby Band (of Robert Randolph and the Family Band). Along with some solo acoustic performances with his voice and guitar and some organic loop station based beats.
