Was just listening to Live from The Capitol Theatre. And me and my kid were talking about him and the drama surrounding him an Neil. The last few releases he put out were just amazing with The Lighthouse Band. What a loss. It’s not even February yet.
One of the cool things of having two older brothers was always hearing what was blasting out of their bedrooms. Also helping me not get an ass whoopin from time to time. Unless they decided to torture me. But this was in heavy rotation back in the day. And then I bought Blow by Blow next. Then Wired and then Truth. And so on and so on. Learning “You know what I Mean” as a teen was mind expanding with the funky 9 chords. And then learning to play the dbl kick pattern on Space Boogie. Glad I got to see him play. It always was looked like there was some inside joke onstage as he wandered around the stage with this smirk on as he absolutely crushed on the guitar making it look so easy. And again my mind being blown that he wasn’t using a pick. Rest easy genius. Your legacy will remain …
